Lake Louise

From skyscrapers and cool boutiques to Mountains and beautiful lakes.
We arrived in Calgary airport greeted by a cow girl. Calgary the heart of the new west.
We rented a SUV and left the new west behind us and headed to the mountains.
A beautiful drive, clear skies, chilli & lime peanuts and Johnny Cash on the Ipod.

Lake Louise. Still frozen over.
In summer the lake creates a mirror image of the mountains behind

Perfect - We had 20cm the day before.

Cool Clean Chicago

It rained, it poured and the wind had a Chicago Chill but it didn't stop us from falling in love with the Chicago charm. Maria gave us a list of hot spots and we were on our way.

We went on a historical sky scrapers tour. Great recommendation Maria.

Miniature diner serving miniature bottles of wine or beer and miniature cheese burgers.
It's not a typical American diner

Later that evening we went to Blackbird
for an excellent suckling pig, smoked duck, and country fried Rabbit leg.

The next day we enjoyed a Patty burger

Hanging out with the true locals of the Green Mill.
The Green Mill a 1920's old school gangster hangout. We listened to a 12 piece orchestra, watched swing dancers and drank cocktails.
